January 31

Hello Friends,

Today we bring you some really great posts in the Friday Five in case you missed them this week!

Being Bullied
If you have ever been bullied in school because you have diabetes, what steps did you take to handle it? @Wholockian14 is asking for advice in the Newly Diagnosed group.

Runners
If you are you a runner and live in the Washington, D.C. area, @MariaKhristine is looking for people to start up a team! You can also start or find a Team JDRF running or other fundraiser in your area by visiting team.jdrf.org!

Pre-Pregnancy A1c Tricks
If you are currently pregnant, have had a baby or just got the green light from your doctor to get pregnant, what are some tricks you have used to get your A1c down into pre-pregnancy A1c range? Share your experience with others in the Diabetes and Pregnancy thread.

Childcare for the Summer
We are still in the very cold wintery months but it is never too early to think about summer and what to do when your children are on break and you have to work. Does your child attend diabetes camp? Do you have a babysitter? Share your ideas with @Michimom0405 in the Parents of Children Type 1 group!

Newly Diagnosed
After diagnosis we can feel as though our entire world has been turned upside down. Learning how to adjust can be difficult for those with T1D and their families. Please take a minute to share some advice with one of our TypeOneNation families as they learn what it is like to live with diabetes.

Happy Friday!
