If the doctor makes you uncomfortable look for other options. Maybe see if the hospital has a support group for children with type 1 and meet other parents. If you pull that off you can get names of other endocrinologists. It sounds to me like your doctor is in autopilot, where if the treatment works for one person it will work for them all. Ditch them now before you start to lower your standards. Or you could try one more time and see if she opens up and changes her attitude once you are past the new patient formalities. I doubt that will happen, but you could give her one more shot. I mean I eat the same meal pretty much everyday so that way I just know what the proper amount of insulin is. Than if I eat something out of the plan, it may take me a small amount of time to figure out what I did wrong if I go hi.
