  • I have an appointment with my doctor in three weeks...however, just a few weeks ago, my breath started to smell like metal...and my tongue has a white coating on it... I have been diagnosed for over 10 years...and this has never happened before...does anyone know what is causing it and how to stop it??

  • I'm not a doctor, so take this with a grain of salt. But, when my son was little, nurses told us to watch for thrush, a white coating on the tongue caused by a yeast infection. Maybe adults could get it too?

  • Yes I have had this! and it sucks get it taken care of asap or you will start getting blisters on your tongue and it will get really sore and swollen. High blood sugars make you more prone to yeast infections and thrush can happen too. You can just go to your regular family doctor and get a mouth washish prescription for it and it should clear up in several days.
