Many years before I was diagnosed (I'd say 5 or 6) up to the time I was diagnosed I would feel sick to my stomach almost all day, every day.. sometimes to the point where I'd end up in tears. My parents and doctors always dismiss it as nothing serious, but I always wonder if it had something to do with diabetes. I had always been extremely thin as well. I was about 60lbs. when I was dx'd at age 12.
You do not get Type 1 diabetes from eating unhealthy. That has nothing to do with it. Your body has to have some sort of weird cell things, and then you have to get sick to trigger the disease. You usually get a weird stomach bug, or other stomach pains from like up to 12 months of actually being diagnosed
I noticed before being Dxed I craved sugar. Wonder if that means anything.
