My boobs are ginormous so I put it in my bra, I can fit like three pump in between LOL another trick is to stick it in your bra under your arm. That is what I do when i wear a strapless dress.

Yeah I though about using spanx the other day. My friend (Cheri) and I are actually working to design some attire and put patents on them. We are going to experiment with different materials. I have a lot of ideas. I love hearing these new ones too.
I wore Spanx on my wedding day, which happened to be the same day my Cozmo pump died. I'm just sayin'. Never again!

I have a good friend that I met at diabetic camp in my early teens. She has since moved on to a more professional job than myself, and she recently shared with me how she conceals her pump. She went to a tailor and had little pockets inserted into the bottom of her slacks and skirts. She tells me it's fairly inexpensive and much easier than clipping them onto her waist.
I too look for dresses with pockets. I usually, not always, will cut a tiny hole in the pocket and run the tubing through it. I have even come up with different bra's that work better than others at hiding it in there. Doesn't always work though because my chest is not very big. I agree the leg pouch is useless and I hate it. Let us all know what you come up with. I'd be interested in it!
I just love everyone's input! My friend and I are running some tests right now. lol. It's going to be a fun summer! ^_^
Kellie,
i think it would be really cool if you could somehow make nike exercise shorts with some type of pockets to fit the general pump, i know its always a little uncomfortable for me to wear those shorts because there isn't a good way to wear it!
Yeah, I know what you mean. I work out 1-2 times per day. Right now I am using a pair of adidas shorts that have a mp3 pocket in the back. My pump fits in it and there is a zipper but I wish it wouldn't flop around. Thanks for the suggestions. Right now I am looking into a few dress designs, a bra and now I think we'll explore some shorts too.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Pump Band. http://www.pumpwearinc.com/pumpshop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=820 (scroll down - they have different styles and fabrics)
My boyfriend used to sleep in his jeans every night becuase 1) he was lazy and 2) he wanted his pockets. I bought him a pump band and it changed everything.
As for wearing it at the gym, I vote for sew in a spandex pocket, or get one of the fancy little work-out tops that have iPod pockets. They are designed to not let he iPod (or iPUMP!!) fall out, and they have a natural place for your tube - the headphone opening! I just saw a bunch of these at Dicks for 50% off - I think they're really for runners. :)
Hi Steph!
I think the Pump Band you mentioned is the "leg strap" others were talking about earlier in this thread - but maybe I'm wrong?
When I run, I either have a running belt on (like a Spibelt, or I also have a larger one made by Nathan), or I use an Amphipod. It depends on how long I'm going to be out for, and what I need to carry with me. The Amphipod is exactly big enough to hold my Animas Ping pump, but not much else. (It was the first one I bought.) The Spibelt is stretchy, so I can hold a Clif Gel and a lip balm in there, too. If I'm carrying my CGM receiver, too, and glucose tabs, I go for the Nathan belt.
Here are links to what I'm talking about... haha...

Don't think I saw this mentioned in this thread. A friend saw this featured on jezebel.com and sent it to me recently.

Not for sale yet, but I think sometime soon. I thought they were cute ways to have pump accessible and disguised.
working to cure diabetes.
Yeah I saw the Hanky Panky website. It was cute. They have a burlesque show in New York, I think. I did think it was very cute. I'm trying to make something a little more practical for everyday use. I am loving all of this feedback!
I used to clip it in my underwear (weird, I know, but it shows much less).
honeymead I used to clip it in my underwear (weird, I know, but it shows much less).
thats what i do!! then i'll wear those tight volleyball shorts onto so it stays in place!
I love this thread, it's got me cracking up! and bringing back soo many memories. haha
when it came to dances In high school I would always have to find dresses that could conceal my pump. I was definitely a fan of the "in between the boobs" trick but if i bent forward I would always get weird looks or questions. The trick that worked the best for me was using spanks, after a while you even forget its there, but it depends on the dress of course.
Kellie I think it is a great idea to try and design something else to helps us girls out when it comes to pump placement! :)
You shouldn't give up. Fight for yourself and who you are. You've got to go through the worst times in life to get the best
