  •  My legs rock. Typically they are my needle spot for pens. I dont let anyone do my needles but me. I have a bad bad bad bad bad habit of doing them in the legs and I cant stop what do I do?

  • What do you mean by rock?

  • As hard as it is, try different spots.

It seems scary at first but just tell yourself you'll try a new spot and if you don't like it you won't do it there again.  Since you're probably right handed you can try your left arm, rear end, and stomach.

Spreading the shots around will keep you from bruising and will help your skin be healthy.  If you keep using your legs you'll eventually get to a point where they won't absorb insulin well and can even develop scar tissue, then you won't be able to use them at all.  =(    The first few years I used an insulin pump I did only stomach and eventually my favorite spots were unusable.  It was hard to try different spots, but once I did my stomach healed and I can use them again.
