Running out of infusion sites?
ABQLaurie
Hi there, I'm new here, but am not new to t1d (40+ years) and am not new to pumping (20+ years). It seems clear to me in recent months that I need new infusion sites on my body. Like many with t1d, I'm slim and I don't have big juicy areas just yearning to infuse. For most of my pumping years...

Accidentally injected insulin in a vein?
Abby Pepper
I'm not on a pump yet but I was giving myself Levemir by pen and I accidentally gave it in a vein. It started bleeding but it stopped. It's now just a little puffy and red. Is that okay? Also, will the insulin still be able to benefit my body? Sorry, a little new to this :/

Getting an Insulin Pump
Abby Pepper
So, apparently it's possible to get a bloody insulin site and hit an artery or vein. I'm scared to get an insulin pump now because I HATE anything sticking in my veins or arteries. Just typing that makes me feel weak o.o Help???

Medtronic Infusion Sets - Please help!!!
kaytie13
Since I started pumping last year, I've been using the Medtronic QuickSet Infusion Sets, and I've had issues with kinked cannulas from day one! I thought it was my fault because of infusion sites or not injecting them properly, but after finally getting fed up and doing a little research, I realized...

OmniPod Interest
Lauren Hoppe
I am a Animas OneTouch Ping Pumper and I love it and it is truly fantastic! The wireless remote, carb counter and calculator for corrections are all so useful. When I first started the pump a little over 2 years ago I was given the option between many pumps like the Medtronix, Animas and Omnipod versions...

Re: Having Second Thoughts? I'm confused...

Hi Kelly, Katie asked me to weigh in for you some thoughts on the Omnipod. I was using the Animas Ping before I switched to the Omnipod. When I told my doc I wanted to switch to the Omnipod he was more than surprised, he knew I LOVED my Ping. I mean LOVED. Little doubts began creeping up into my mind...
