I hate Animas- now time for a new pump, but which? Tandem?
Philadelph
I am not sure if I've ever posted here at all, but I figured it was about time. I'm 29 years old and have had Type 1 for maybe 27 years. I have been on a pump for the past 15 or 16 years so I have a lot of experience. I have had many different pumps and most recently the Animas (OneTouch) Ping...

OmniPod Interest
Lauren Hoppe
I am a Animas OneTouch Ping Pumper and I love it and it is truly fantastic! The wireless remote, carb counter and calculator for corrections are all so useful. When I first started the pump a little over 2 years ago I was given the option between many pumps like the Medtronix, Animas and Omnipod versions...

Re: Having Second Thoughts? I'm confused...

Hi Kelly, Katie asked me to weigh in for you some thoughts on the Omnipod. I was using the Animas Ping before I switched to the Omnipod. When I told my doc I wanted to switch to the Omnipod he was more than surprised, he knew I LOVED my Ping. I mean LOVED. Little doubts began creeping up into my mind...

Creative ways to reduce insertion set pain?
Lia Hollander
I've been using the Inset (straight in) for the past 6 years or so with only the occasional pain upon insertion (usually I hit a nerve or something). Well, now I have lost 15 lbs and have less padding. I've switched to the Inset 30 (angled) but it still hurts a bit. Any ideas on how to reduce...

BlueHen1
Hello! Does anyone know of a charity that supports kids/adults that can not afford a pump, supplies, meds, etc? I want to start one! Thanks for any comments/contributions!

Re: I'm thinking of getting a pump
Laura
I, unfortunately, can't say much about the Ping, but I've had an Animas 2020 ever since my old Animas pump stopped working. The customer service for Animas is really amazing! When my old pump broke, a rep actually took one of their like "travel" pumps to my dad's office (because...

Re: Animas Pump
FatCatAnna
I used the MM 522 for about 4 months - and then gave the Animas 2020 a trial run - and ended up with the Animas because I found the screen easier to read (it's larger), more user friendly, was water proof, was smaller in size, comes in cool colours, uses luer lock infusion sets (I have more choice...
