The last recess until the end of the Promise Campaign is halfway over! Members of both the House and the Senate have been home for a district work period for a week thus far, and today begins the last week before they head back to DC.
We have 14 meetings to reach our goal, and we need your help to get there! While the Members are home, they are are expecting to meet with their constituents, so be on the lookout for events your Members may attend in your area. Some of the best resources for Campaign coordinators are the local newspapers. They will often publish events where your Member of Congress is expected, giving you a chance to tell them what it is like to live with type 1 diabetes. You can check the Member's website for this information as well. If you see an opportunity to meet with one of your Members, please let us know about it by sending us an email at advocacy@jdrf.org so we can connect you with your local Promise Campaign coordinator.
This is the last chance to complete a Promise meeting before the end of the Campaign on May 1, so let's use this final recess to our advantage!
