When I got into the office this morning, I was excited to see that on the road to 432 Promise Campaign meetings, we have 50 more to go! The Promise meeting that brought us to this new milestone is courtesy of the advocates at the Southern Arizona Branch. The meeting actually occurred in January, and was especially sentimental for the chapter volunteers. Advocate and former Grassroots Leader Crystal Kasnoff got the chance to meet with Representative Gabrielle Giffords (AZ-7) and thank her for her support of JDRF before her retirement. Thank you to Crystal Kasnoff, Advocacy Team Chair Mimi Warwick, and all of the advocates involved in making this meeting happen, and look for more information on this meeting shortly!
One more meeting has been entered since this morning, bringing our meeting total to 383. This also brings our number to go down to 49! Reaching this point of the Campaign is truly a testament to the hard work of advocates across the country, and we want you to know how grateful we are for your continued commitment to a pursuing a cure for type 1 diabetes.
