2 Minutes to Keep the Ball Rolling on Research

  • Comments 3

Not sure if you’ve had the chance to take a look at our recent call to action, ‘Continue NIH Research like the Artificial Pancreas’, but it shares some great information about how far we’ve come with research because of federal funding programs like the Special Diabetes Program (SDP).

However, to continue this progress, we need T1D advocates to send an email to their Members of Congress and remind them of the important contributions the SDP has made towards diabetes research. See the story below about Kerry and the artificial pancreas trial she participated in, which was supported by the SDP, and help make sure the SDP funded research continues:

  • We need a CURE...NOW.  I have had T1D since 1977.

  • Being an RN and having a son with T1D, I have seen the devastating consequences of diabetes. Please support funding for research of the artificial pancreas.

  • Please continue this important research. I know it is helping to improve the quality of life for people who have to live with T1D.
