What's The Difference Between Insulin in Needles and Pumps And How it Affects Our Lives:D

  • Comments 1

Personally, in my opinion, I would rather have a pump because you don't have to take painful needle shots..but if you use pumps, then there is no pain. But on the other hand, you wouldn't have to wear a pump for the rest of your life. It also depends on what kind of personality you have. If you have a soft, sensitive, not really a risktaker like I am, then you probably would go for the pump, but if you're the risktaker type who's not afraid of eveything, then you would probably pick the needle. It also has to deal with the people around you. My mom doesn't want me to use the pump, and when I do bring the subject up, she has a face that says, "You really want a pump on you for the rest of your life? and I always laugh at it! So basically, because we are all unique and are different in many ways, we have different opinions!

  • Hi,

I've been on a pump (Animas Ping) for two years now. I love it! It makes everything so much easier and my blood sugars have been nearly perfect. It sounds like it would annoying to wear but it isn't at all. Also if you don't like it you can back to needles so you aren't stuck for the rest of your life. I would definitely try it :)
