Like, I've thrown up, can't go anywhere cause if I don't have a heating pad on for even a short amount of time, it starts up again. My family practitioner finally said that maybe I was frying my ovaries with the pump since it's clipped to my waist all the time. Most of them have pockets in the front that I put my pump in. But when my pump is in my arm it will not reach the pocket. So I wear it with out a chlip between my unites and hip. It works most of the time. But when I were skirt's that dont have pocket's like from fittling skirts I just wear it on the side of me. So I dont have a trouble with skirts.

But when I wear dress it is diffent. 2 weeks from saturday. my brother is getting married. I am not in the wedding but I do have to waer a dress. (my mom says I do) I dont know what to do with my pump. Most of the time my pump is in my legs or steamch. the dress I am going to be wearing is lose fitting. But I dont know if I should wear my chlp or not. This is the dress I am going to be wearing for my brothers wedding.
i've been on the pill for about a year and a half. I used to get horrible period pain, and my mother had endometriosis, so the gynae put me on the pill to help with the pain and slow the growth of any fibrous tissue. it's worked great!

but now, for my last two sets of blood work, my cholesterol and LDL levels have come back elevated. I generally eat low fat food and very little meat, so the increased cholesterol levels have me a little freaked out. I increased my exercise levels and paid even more attention to my diet after the first test, and my blood tests this week showed a decrease in cholesterol, but it's still too high! my doctor doesn't seem too worried, she's just happy it's come down a little from last time. I'm still freaked out, high cholesterol at the age of 24 is NOT good. i've been running it through my head and reading up on it, and if tis not diet or exercise, i think it might be because i'm on the pill.

so, basically, i'm wandering if anyone else has ever had a problem with this? if so, was there anything you can do about it? can diet and exercise changes make any significant difference? or should i just stop the pill? as much as i love not feeling like i'm dying once a month, i'm not so keen on a pain-free period at the cost of DVT or a heart attack. but then what do i do about the pain and possible endometriosis?

(i know i should go see my gynae, but there's a bit of a wait to get an appointment. so i'm asking you all in the meantime)

Missed Periods. My dr seems to think that the reason I got it is because I am rh - and my son is + they think it was my body trying to fix its self?
Example, out of all the Juvenile Diabetics I have met, all but one have had a crazy sex drive (myself included).

Lazy Days of Summer

We can't take a break from type 1 diabetes but we can still enjoy the simple pleasures of simpler times. What does a lazy day of summer look like to you ? What family traditions are you still able to keep to enjoy a quiet summer day ?

but i'm only at the end of my second week of the birth control patch, so it's only been like 3weeks since my period started last month. isn't it too early to have any of these symptoms?

at first i thought i was just coming down with the flu when i was feeling nauseous at work. i thought i was just tired cuz it's summer and that's why i was exhausted, but my life hasn't been that hectic. i thought the cramping was just from something i ate. the thing is, i'm never sick this long! when i get the flu, i stay home for a day and sleep..and that's it, i'm pretty much 99% back to myself. but it's been a week since i started feeling nauseous and that's not normal for me.

i took a pregnancy test the other day..i know you're suppose to wait til at least 3days before your expected period, but i couldn't wait. it came back negative, but i know it could just be a false negative.

i was at my mom's for dinner(after having a 5hour nap on the couch after going for breakfast with some friends) and the first thing she asked when i described how i was feeling was: are you sure you're not pregnant?

gaaaaaaaaah. my last two pregnancies were different, the first one i had food cravings at like week 3, which is weird i know, but otherwise nothing. my second i just had a missed period and then by week 6 i couldn't eat/look at/smell eggs without wanting to throw up, and i did have a bit of nauseous a bit leading up to finding out and i was emotional(but i had dumped my bf two weeks prior to finding out) but i didn't have any of the other things i'm feeling now.

Birth Control Shots

Hi ladies! :)

My mom thinks it would be a good idea if I go on birth control shots while I am in college and I totally agree with her. However, I am curious if it affects diabetes in anyway. Has anyone been on or is currently on the birth control shot? If so, how has it affected your D and what are some other major side affects I should take note of?

Thanks!!

Weekend get away :)

I was reading one of the previous blogs that was talking about diabetes sisters website and wanted to check out their website!
Thank you,
