Hi! My name is Jennifer Almeido and I am the Volunteer Chair for a new social group created by JDRF Nevada Chapter for adults with type 1 diabetes. The group is called Adult Time. JDRF recognizes that children with type 1 diabetes do not outgrow the disease, and that more and more adults are being diagnosed with type 1 everyday. The group was established to provide a fun atmosphere to encourage friendship and support. Our goal is to put together outings/events that appeal to a wide variety of interests.
