I was not sure whether to place this under technology/ research, here, or where to post this, but I wanted to say thank you to the site creators and those who make Juvenation.org possabile.
I started being active on this site after I was invited on by Gina on facebook 2 months ago. At the time my care of my diabetes had been diminishing, or being put aside, and I was feeling pretty burnt out. My Ha1c had been 8.2-8.6 for a year or two and I was all around feeling inadequate in my care/ knowledge about what I was doing and how to get back on the right track.
First I made some friends who shared some very helpful advice- special shout-out to A-D and Sciencequeen.
Then I found a new doctor.
Now I have only been on the site for 2 month and I have already seen a turn around! My last Ha1c had been 8.2 in late November. Now at my new Doc's on January 19th my Ha1c has already dropped to 7.8! My new Doc has already taught me some new ideas about using my pump to it's fullest potential and is directing me on how I can do better.
Thank you Juvenation, I really don't think that this change would have happened as quickly (2 months!!) or as easily without you and your members being there.
She generally gave herself very good advice, (though she very seldom followed it). Lewis Carroll

Another shout out of thanks to Juvenation.
My A1c went up to 8.4% in April but.... I just got my test back from my doc. I'm NOW 7%
My 4 day CGM from my doctor shows my sugars are looking very stable. Compared to the uncontrolled roller coaster they were when I arrived here at Juvenation.
=) I don't think I would have ever have been inspired enough to do this without this network. Problem solving for youself can be too much. Focusing on MY problems until now never felt right, probably becasue I never asked the right questions. However focusing on finding research and resources for other people's questions is a joy for me. Somehow, through doing this for other people I adjusted myself in the process.
Thank you for this opportunity.
