You’re Never Too Young (Or Old!) to Make a Difference!

As we push forward with our Promise activities for Diabetes Awareness Month (241 meetings…only 9 more to hit 250!), I wanted to share a video we received a short while ago from one of our Grassroots Leadership Team members, Michelle Crouse. Michelle was the Promise Co-chair for the South in 2009-10, and she is nothing short of a rock star for JDRF. Michelle attended the meeting with Representative Robert Aderholt (AL-1) in October, but her son Cameron is the one who ended up being a star! Check out how Cameron was able get the Representative to go the extra mile in the video:

Cameron’s video proves that you can make a difference with your Member of Congress no matter what your age, young or old! Don’t miss your chance to tell your Member of Congress in person what an artificial pancreas would mean to you: sign up to attend a Promise meeting at http://jdrfpromise.org. You can also read more about the meeting with Representative Aderholt in the Meetings section, and many thanks to the Representative for participating in the 2011-12 Promise Campaign!
